Our goal is to make the process of getting a new puppy as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Saugatuckpups is a positive and ethical breeding program founded by a Certified Master Trainer (CMT), James Miller. The emphasis on all of our puppies is the foundation; we start all of our puppies on a tailored training and socializing program, ensuring that when they finally go home to their families, they are... Fully leash trained and able to perform commands: Heel, Sit, Stay, Down, Come, Place, all without needing treats or clickers. They are used to a specific crate and potty training schedule. We customize a schedule and have them used to it before entering your home.Â

Breeding Philosophy
Focuses heavily on healthy and well-behaved companions and family dogs rather than just good-looking or certain show bloodlines. Parents are thoroughly tested and selected to ensure they are healthy and have great temperaments to pass on to the puppies. We prioritize socializing and training as soon as they are born in order to prevent and fix any unwanted behaviors that come from having a new puppy. Our goal is to make the puppy process as easy and as "Done for you" as possible!
Training Programs
Supporting Your New Companion
After the training program with us is complete we are still with you every step of the way. We include a lifetime of free follow up lessons to make sure that you and your family understand everything, We go to your home and help you transition all of the training and implement it into your own home. We practice commands with each family member ensuring your puppy listens to everyone in the house. We also teach all the adults and children what the rules are in the house and how to reinforce them with their new puppy.
